Planning a getaway to Sag Harbor? This guide shares insider favorites on where to eat, shop, stay, and explore in this charming Hamptons town—with tips and fresh 2025 updates to make your visit unforgettable.

How to Get to Sag Harbor
Sag Harbor is located on the South Fork of Long Island and is one of the most walkable towns in the Hamptons.
From NYC:
- By car: Take the LIE to Route 27E. Parking can be tight, so arrive early.
- By train: Take the LIRR to Bridgehampton, then Uber into Sag Harbor (about 10 mins).
- By bus: The Hampton Jitney has a stop directly in Sag Harbor.
Where to Stay in Sag Harbor
If you’re planning to spend more than a day, here are a few standout stays:
- Baron’s Cove – Waterfront resort with a pool, porch rocking chairs, and dreamy rooms.
- The American Hotel – Historic charm right on Main Street.
- The Sag Harbor Inn – Walkable to town and budget-friendlier than other Hamptons hotels.

Sag Harbor has some of the best restaurants on the East End – here are my go-tos for every vibe:
Breakfast + Coffee
- Sagtown Coffee – Downtown hotspot for solid espresso and La Colombe blends.
- Grindstone Donuts – Right next door! Don’t leave without grabbing a few donuts.
- Dreamy Coffee Co. (inside Sylvester & Co.) – Coconut cold brew + chic home goods.
